On May 21, 2024, students of MUPAT carried out the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) with the theme “Local Wisdom”. This activity aims to introduce and preserve local culture to students.
The activity began with classroom learning about handicrafts, traditional dances, and culinary. One of the interesting activities was the making of traditional food from jackfruit and mbothe, the results of which were sold at the peak event.
The event closed with a showcase in Malik Fajar Hall, where students showcased their handicrafts and performed a kuda lumping dance and jumputan batik fashion show. The event was attended by school supervisors, Muhammadiyah leaders of Malang city, and several principals of cluster 6 schools in Lowokwaru.
The Principal, Mrs. Hanah Ayudah, hopes that this activity can instill a sense of pride in local culture and encourage students to continue to preserve it. Hopefully, students can become cultural ambassadors who contribute to the preservation of local wisdom in the future.
