Merdeka!!! With the spirit of Nusantara Baru and a vision for Indonesia Maju, MUPAT strives to instill love for the homeland and unity in every step of our students. On August 17, 2024, SD Muhammadiyah 4 joined in the festivities to celebrate Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day. One of the key activities was the flag-raising ceremony, which marked the culmination of a series of events at Mupat. Prior to the flag ceremony, the celebrations began with competitions between classes, with lower grade contests held on campus 1 and higher grades on campus 2.
The flag-raising ceremony on August 17 is a national tradition held annually to commemorate the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 1945. This ceremony serves as a tribute to the heroes who fought for our freedom and as an opportunity to instill values of nationalism in students as the next generation of the nation. It embodies the spirit of togetherness and mutual cooperation in nation-building, while honoring the symbols of our country and expressing pride in being Indonesian.
