On Saturday, October 28, 2023, marking the 95th Youth Pledge Day, MUPAT Library received a prestigious ‘A’ grade library accreditation certificate. The award was presented by Acting Mayor of Malang City, Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM, to Hana Ayudah, the Principal of Muhammadiyah 4 Elementary School, along with representatives from nine other schools in Malang.
The Journey to a Top School Library
In the journey towards earning this accreditation, the school library underwent a comprehensive evaluation covering various aspects, including book collections, services, and innovative library features, all validated by assessors from the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia. The results were remarkable. The assessors proclaimed that MUPAT Library scored the highest among the school libraries they visited in Malang, and they deemed it worthy of becoming a national reference library, all thanks to its innovative technology and child-friendly library design.
In a brief message, the Principal of Muhammadiyah 4 Elementary School expressed her hope that MUPAT Library would continue to inspire a love for literacy among student. She emphasized that this achievement is just the beginning of a long journey and said, “I hope that MUPAT Library will keep innovating, serving as a source of knowledge and an inspiring place for students, teachers, and the entire community.”
